St Martins Pre-school and Creche
Historical Background
Established in 1989 under the patronage of Father Cairns at St. Hubert Catholic Church, the Early Development Program was conceived to cater to the needs of 150 children in Alexandra and its environment.
The Joseph Gerard Foundation, oversees the Early Childhood Development Program, aiming to address the pressing issues of child neglect and abuse within the Alexandra community.
Situated on the cusp of Wynberg and Alexandra in Johannesburg, St. Martins Preschool requires private funding, in addition to state grants received, as financial aid to support its operational expenses and diverse programs. Donations in kind are equally appreciated to ensure the seamless functioning of the preschool and crèche.
