Home For the Older Persons.

 

Funding - Funding for operational costs and program.

• Cost of living has had a negative impact on our finances and with the COVID 19 Pandemic and July 2020 unrests many corporate responsibilities have also been affected; thus, social responsibility programs have been negatively affected, so there was limited or no support for non-governmental organizations.

• The Centre is in dire need of financial assistance to augment on operational costs.

 

Dormitories

• 36 No Mattresses for the classes are very old and torn.

• 36 No Throw overs Bedding and mattresses old and torn.

• Curtains for Male and Female sections, current condition very old.

• Store clean linen.

 

Kitchen

• Fly catchers x2 Replace Kitchen utensils.

• Industrial Chiller needs service,             

• Industrial juice extractor.          

• Kitchen utensils: Industrial Pots, Cutlery, plates, saucers, cups &saucers.     

• Salad Bowls (6No), dishing spoons, salad spoons, sweet dishes,         

 

Provisions (groceries)

• Peanut butter, Butter/margarine, Mabelle, mealie meal, rice, mielie rice, samp, sugar, coffee, tea, rooibos, fresh milk, macaroni,

• Meat: chicken, mincemeat and stew beef

• Tinned food: fish, tuna fish, bull brand corned   meat, baked beans, Juice, mayonnaise, gravy powders etc

 

Meat

• Chicken livers, chicken 4 No packs 5kg, stew meat 4 kg, boerewors 4kg, mincemeat /soya mince, 4 kg of chicken drumsticks.

 

Cleaning Material

• Pine gel, dishwasher, bleach, liquid air freshener, grease remover, toilet paper, tissue paper, Stay Soft, Handy Andy, Domestos, deodorant blocks, Doom, and Jays Fluid.

 

Toiletries

• Facial cloths & soaps,

• Mouth wash, toothpaste, toothbrushes, Vaseline, methyl salicylate ointment (500g)

• 36 No Deodorant Roll On's for male 20 Females 16 Male residents.

 

Medical

• Disposable nappy 3 boxes each medium, Large & extra-large.

• Accu-check Strips 4 No, Urine Test Strips, Vitamin C Tablets x 1000mg,

• Breathalyzer

 

Medical Waste

• Wheelie bins x3 (Red, Blue &Green & 2x Yellow)

• Refuse bags.

• Management of our waste needs daily attention to keep the facilities clean and free from rodents.

 

Laundry

• Double Rail Hanger, powder soap x3 boxes

• Industrial Steam Iron x1

• Our equipment is very old and needs to be repaired regularly. It has become very expensive to maintain.

 

Staff Needs

• Need to employ additional staff: Professional Nurse, cleaner , medical staff

• Cash Donation to augment  staff salaries especially

• Purchasing of staff uniforms

• Cash donation is needed to assist with salaries, protective clothing and to employ additional staff.

• In 2022/23 there has been no staff increments or other annual incentives due to the decline in cash donations ,  this may also affect this new financial year (2023/24).

 

Office

• Laminating machine

• Blinds for the office

• Office desks 2No

• Digital camera

• Shredder

• Comb Binder

• Stationery:

• Typek printer paper A4 5 No

• Pens  red, black and pencils

• Arch lever files

 

Transport

• LDV  to collect donations of goods/food or furniture.

 

Security

• Surveillance cameras repair , our surveillance cameras are out of order due to being struck by lightning and it needs major service and repairs

• Clocking device

• Walkie talkie (3 Way device) , the Centre has just employed a security guard.

Grooming

• Disposable Razors (shaving)

• Large nail cutters 6 No

• Electrical hair cutter  3 No

• Massage oils

• Wet Wipes 2 boxes

 

Furniture

• Dining room furniture (36 Chairs 10 table), currently have old and unfriendly steel tables.

• Industrial trolleys 2 No

• Garden furniture: tables, chairs and garden umbrella.
